Waterloo man charged with DWI after traffic stop

A Waterloo man faces DWI charges after police said he was stopped while driving a vehicle with a suspended registration and no insurance.

The Waterloo Police Department said Manuel B. Salinas, 40, of Waterloo, was arrested around 12:55 a.m. June 30 following a traffic stop.


Police said Salinas was operating a vehicle with a suspended registration and no insurance.

During the investigation, officers determined Salinas was intoxicated and had a BAC of 0.08%, according to police.

Salinas was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a BAC of 0.08% or greater.

He was issued uniform traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in Waterloo Town Court at a later date.
