Waterloo man charged with grand larceny after theft investigation

A Waterloo man faces a felony charge after police said he stole more than $1,000 worth of property.

The Waterloo Police Department said Roy E. McBroom III, 58, of Waterloo, was arrested June 28 following an investigation into a reported theft.


Police charged McBroom with fourth-degree grand larceny. Investigators said the charge stems from allegations that he stole property valued at more than $1,000.

McBroom was issued an appearance ticket and released.

He is scheduled to appear in Waterloo Town Court at 5 p.m. July 22.
