A Canandaigua man was arrested after police said he violated an order of protection while riding an RTS bus on South Main Street.
Joseph Shantz, 40, was arrested June 12 at 5:04 p.m. and charged with second-degree criminal contempt, according to a police blotter entry.
Investigators said Shantz was riding on an RTS bus while the protected party in a stay-away order of protection against him was also on the bus.
Shantz was taken into custody and transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
