New York farmers can now apply for up to $25,000 in tariff relief, according to The Citizen. The state’s new $30 million Agricultural Resiliency Against Tariffs program aims to help producers offset rising costs and lost export markets.
Eligible farms can receive between $1,000 and $25,000 through separate funding tracks for dairy producers and other agricultural operations, including livestock, aquaculture and specialty crops. Applications are due Aug. 11.
Gov. Kathy Hochul said the program responds to financial pressure from tariffs and retaliatory trade actions that have driven up farm costs and slashed exports. State officials say New York wine exports to Canada fell 77% in 2025.
