Drivers in Auburn should expect traffic disruptions Tuesday as city crews complete a water main repair project at the intersection of Standart Avenue and Murray Street.
FL1 WEATHER: Dangerous heat grips Finger Lakes through Friday before holiday weekend relief The City of Auburn Municipal Utilities Department announced the work will take place June 2 and will require several detours and traffic pattern changes in the area throughout the day.
According to the city, one-way traffic traveling west to east on Standart Avenue will be permitted to continue toward Grant Avenue. Eastbound and westbound traffic on portions of Standart Avenue will be detoured onto Schwartz Drive.
The intersection of Standart Avenue and Murray Street will be completely closed to traffic traveling on Murray Street. Motorists will be directed to use Dawson Avenue as a detour route.
City officials are urging drivers to use caution while traveling through the construction zone and to remain alert for utility workers and changing traffic conditions.
The repair work is expected to be completed Tuesday.
