A long-running auto dealership in Watkins Glen will close next week as Maguire Automotive Group shifts operations to Ithaca, according to the Elmira Star-Gazette.
The company plans to merge its Watkins Glen Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership with its Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat location on Elmira Road. The move, scheduled for June 8, will consolidate sales and service operations at the larger Ithaca facility, where customers will have access to expanded inventory and service capacity.
Maguire said all Watkins Glen employees will remain with the company after the transition. The dealership group, founded in Trumansburg in 1977, now operates 18 dealerships representing 18 automotive brands across upstate New York.
