A Penn Yan man was ticketed after a two-car crash Monday at the intersection of State Route 364 and Lovejoy Road in the town of Benton, according to the Yates County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded just after 11 a.m. June 29 with Penn Yan Fire and Ambulance. All occupants were out of the vehicles when emergency personnel arrived.
The Sheriff's Office said Philip Bailey, 83, of Penn Yan, was driving south on Lovejoy Road and failed to yield the right of way after stopping at a stop sign.
Deputies said Alexandra Griffin, 28, of Penn Yan, was traveling east on State Route 364 and was unable to avoid colliding with Bailey's vehicle.
After impact, both vehicles continued south on Lovejoy Road before coming to rest. Both vehicles were towed because of damage and airbag deployment.
