A $10 million repair backlog now threatens one of Seneca Falls’ most important historic sites, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
The Women’s Rights National Historical Park has landed on the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s 2026 list of America’s 11 Most Endangered Historic Places. The designation includes a $25,000 grant and new national attention for the park.
Friends of the park say deferred maintenance, staffing shortages and federal budget cuts have worsened conditions across the Elizabeth Cady Stanton House, Wesleyan Chapel, Hunt House and M’Clintock House.
