Two Seneca County jail inmates charged after avoiding payment for barber services

Two inmates at the Seneca County Correctional Facility are facing charges after investigators said they intentionally avoided paying for barber services provided inside the jail.

Sheriff Timothy Thompson said investigators arrested Joseph W. Donson, 23, and Ted H. O’Connor, 46, on May 15 following an investigation into an incident at the correctional facility.

Authorities allege the two men received barber services and then moved money from their commissary accounts to make the funds unavailable for payment. Investigators said the pair did not intend to pay for the services.

Donson and O’Connor were each charged with theft of services. Both were arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Court and are scheduled to appear in Romulus Town Court at a later date.
