A Canandaigua man was taken to the hospital Friday night after deputies said his vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a wooded area along County Road 28.
Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies responded around 10:27 p.m. May 8 to the area of County Road 28 and Parkside Drive in the Town of Canandaigua for a reported one-car crash with injuries. Deputies arriving at the scene found a vehicle that had gone off the road and into nearby woods.
Investigators identified the driver as 42-year-old Brian K. McDermott, of Canandaigua. Deputies said McDermott suffered minor injuries and was transported to Thompson Hospital by Canandaigua Ambulance.
A portion of County Road 28 was temporarily closed during the response but has since reopened. Deputies issued McDermott a traffic ticket for moving from lane unsafely.
