A Canandaigua man was arrested late last month after police say he contacted a protected party through social media in violation of a court-issued order of protection.
Dontae M. Cobb, 21, of Canandaigua, was arrested April 21 at approximately 11:46 p.m. and charged with second-degree criminal contempt following an investigation into an alleged order of protection violation.
According to police, investigators determined Cobb contacted the protected party of a stay-away order of protection through Instagram.
Cobb was arrested and transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
