A domestic incident in Wayne County escalated to criminal charges after deputies say a man threatened a child with a baseball bat.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of 36-year-old Thomas Ackermann following an investigation into an incident in the Town of Butler.
Authorities allege that during a verbal altercation with a child, Ackermann held up a metal baseball bat in a threatening manner.
He was charged with menacing in the second degree and endangering the welfare of a child, then transported to the Wayne County Jail to await centralized arraignment proceedings.
