An 11-year-old boy died Sunday after a go-kart overturned into a pond in the Genesee County town of Darien, according to 13WHAM.
Sheriff’s deputies responded around 2:30 p.m. to a rollover involving two children.
The boy, who deputies said was driving, was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital and pronounced dead upon arrival.
An 8-year-old girl was treated and released at the scene.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation remains ongoing.
