Two standout student leaders have earned top academic honors at Romulus Central School District, capping years of achievement in the classroom and beyond.
Kinsey Kime was named valedictorian and Rachel Gillan salutatorian for the Class of 2026, the district announced this week.
District leaders praised both students for their impact, calling them leaders who have shaped the school community and will carry that influence forward after graduation.
Kime will graduate with a weighted GPA of 100.25 and plans to attend Ithaca College, where she will pursue a 3+3 doctoral program in physical therapy. She has been deeply involved in school life, serving on student council, participating in National Honor Society, and competing in soccer, basketball and lacrosse—including leadership roles as team captain. She is also active in band, choir and theater, and was selected for Area All-State performances on flute.

“It means a lot to know that all of my hard work was worth the effort,” Kime said. “It is so exciting to represent the class of 2026.”
Gillan, who earned a weighted GPA of 98.74, plans to attend Rochester Institute of Technology to study pre-clinical psychology, with minors in neuroscience and nutritional science. She has held multiple leadership roles, including president of student council and National Honor Society, and serves as the student representative on the board of education. Her involvement also spans music, theater, and several extracurricular clubs.
“To me, being named salutatorian is recognition of the dedication it takes to maintain such high grades,” Gillan said.
Both students are scheduled to speak at graduation, which will be held June 27 in the Romulus Central School auditorium.
