The group, led by Jewish Voice for Peace, tried to stage a sit-in at the senators’ offices but moved outside after being blocked. Demonstrators called on lawmakers to stop a proposed $600 million U.S. bomb sale to Israel tied to the ongoing conflict involving Iran.

High-profile arrests included Chelsea Manning and Alexa Avilés. The protest comes as the Senate prepares to vote on resolutions aimed at halting the weapons sale.
