A local woman is facing criminal charges after police said she failed to properly supervise two children who required constant adult oversight.
Christine M. Stetson, 50, of Seneca Falls, was arrested April 9 following an investigation by the Seneca Falls Police Department into allegations that two children in her care were left without appropriate supervision.
Police said the children required adult supervision at all times and that Stetson knowingly failed to provide it. Authorities reported that no injuries resulted from the incident, but both children were removed from the home during a joint investigation involving town police and Seneca County Child Protective Services.
Stetson was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. She is scheduled to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date.
