The Livingston County Department of Social Services will host a community fair April 10 to mark Child Abuse Prevention Month.
The Pinwheels for Prevention Fair is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. at the conference center at 1 Murray Hill Drive in Mount Morris.
Officials said the event will bring together local agencies to share information on programs and services related to child safety and family support.
Participating organizations include the Youth Advocacy Program, Catholic Charities of Steuben/Livingston County, CASA-Trinity and the Livingston County Department of Health.
Other groups scheduled to attend include the Livingston County Youth Bureau, WNY Children’s Advocacy Network, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Livingston County Probation and the Suicide Prevention Task Force.
Organizers said the event will include educational resources, a basket raffle and refreshments. Proceeds from donations will benefit the WNY Children’s Advocacy Center, which is expected to open in early summer.
The fair is part of efforts to raise awareness during National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
