A section of North Road in the Town of Canandaigua will close to through traffic beginning April 1 for ongoing reconstruction work.
The closure is part of a multi-phase road project, with limited local access maintained during construction.
Local traffic will be allowed in a single lane between East Street and County Road 28, following the same pattern used during earlier work.
The town will place message boards along the roadway starting March 18 to alert motorists. Residents in the project area will also receive mailed notices.
Crews will complete sidewalks and restore affected lawns in the first phase before moving into the next stage of construction.
“This project is an important investment in the safety and long-term infrastructure of this corridor,” said Town of Canandaigua Highway Superintendent Jim Fletcher.
