Police arrested a Seneca Falls man twice in the same day after separate domestic incidents, according to authorities.
Daniel E. Closson, 39, of Seneca Falls, was taken into custody March 9 following investigations by the Seneca Falls Police Department.
In the first incident, police said Closson made physical contact with another person during a domestic dispute and attempted to prevent the person from contacting emergency services.
Closson was charged with aggravated harassment in the second degree and menacing in the third degree, both class A misdemeanors. He was also charged with attempted criminal mischief in the fourth degree, a class B misdemeanor.
Later that morning, around 10:26 a.m., officers arrested Closson again after another reported domestic incident.
Investigators said Closson threatened to kill the victim and shut off utilities to the victim’s living space.
He was charged with criminal tampering in the third degree, a misdemeanor, and harassment in the second degree, a violation.
Police transported Closson to the Seneca County Jail to await arraignment on the charges. Authorities requested orders of protection on behalf of the victim.
