Woman charged in Seneca Falls fraud case

Police arrested a woman after investigators said she defrauded a local business.

Shelly Dejoy, 54, of Warners, turned herself in to the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department on March 9 following an arrest warrant tied to the investigation.

Police charged Dejoy with falsifying business records in the first degree, a felony, and petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

Investigators said the charges stem from a previous investigation in which Dejoy defrauded a business.

Officers processed Dejoy and transported her to the Seneca County Jail, where she is being held awaiting arraignment on the charges.
