New Yorkers will have nine chances to give back to the state’s Forest Preserve lands during “Adirondack and Catskill Park Day” on Saturday, Sept. 6.
Hosted by the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), the statewide event features cleanup and trail work opportunities across Regions 3, 4, and 5. Volunteers will help maintain some of the most scenic and popular natural areas in the Catskills and Adirondacks — all part of the DEC’s “Love Our New York Lands” stewardship campaign.
Projects include trash removal, campsite inspections, trail trimming, and educational walks, all guided by local partners and trail organizations. Volunteer registration is open now through Parks & Trails New York.
