The bill, now awaiting the governor’s signature, has cleared both chambers of the state Legislature. Reid was known for his involvement in student council and was described by his parents as someone who genuinely cared for others.

Assemblymember Michaelle Solages, who sponsored the bill, discussed the legislation’s importance during an appearance on Capital Tonight, underscoring its potential to bring change to both public and private schools.
