A traffic stop early Friday led to a driving while intoxicated arrest in Farmington, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested Lora L. Vandenburg, 63, of Newark, following reports of erratic driving.
The incident occurred around 5:09 a.m. near the intersection of County Road 28 and Shortsville Road, authorities said.
Deputies received multiple 911 calls reporting a vehicle driving erratically around a traffic circle before initiating a stop.
Officers determined the driver was intoxicated after conducting standardized field sobriety tests.
Vandenburg was charged with driving while intoxicated and issued additional tickets for leaving her lane unsafely, improper use of hazard lights, moving left of pavement markings, making an improper U-turn, and possessing an open alcoholic beverage container in a vehicle.
She was taken into custody and later released. She is scheduled to appear in Farmington Town Court at a later date.
