NYSEG and RG&E name new company presidents

New York State Electric & Gas and Rochester Gas and Electric have named new presidents to lead each company under a more locally focused leadership model.

Marc Geaumont will serve as president of NYSEG, while Al Langland has been appointed president of RG&E, both effective immediately. The appointments are part of a broader shift toward jurisdictional management, aligning with a recent recommendation from the New York State Public Service Commission.

“We are pleased to welcome these two experienced leaders to our New York team,” said Patricia Nilsen, president and CEO of both utilities. “I look forward to working closely with them both to fulfill our top priority – the safe and reliable delivery of electricity and natural gas to our customers.”

Geaumont previously served as regional business director for Northline Utilities and has held leadership roles at Central Maine Power. Langland most recently served as senior vice president of gas operations at Avangrid, the parent company of NYSEG and RG&E.

The companies say the new structure will ensure stronger local oversight across 17 divisions, with a focus on customer needs and service reliability.
