A 48-year-old Auburn man has been sentenced to state prison following convictions stemming from two separate domestic violence incidents in early 2024, the Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office announced.
Charles Williams pled guilty to two counts of aggravated family offense, both Class E felonies, and one count of second-degree criminal contempt, a Class A misdemeanor. The charges relate to incidents that occurred on February 27 and March 3.
On April 29, Williams was sentenced by Judge Jon E. Budelmann to one and a half to three years in prison on each felony count, to be served consecutively, for a total sentence of three to six years. He also received 364 days for the contempt charge.
Senior Assistant District Attorney Heather De Stefano prosecuted the case. The investigations were led by the Auburn Police Department and the GIVE (Gun Involved Violence Elimination) Unit.
