A woman is facing multiple charges after police say she entered a man’s home uninvited and threatened him with a knife during a domestic fight.
The Auburn Police Department responded to a home on Beach Avenue around 6:20 p.m. on September 27 for a reported physical domestic incident. Officers say the suspect, Nicole L. Deyo, arrived uninvited and forced her way into the victim’s residence.
According to police, a fight broke out inside the home, during which Deyo allegedly grabbed a large kitchen knife and menaced the victim—who feared for his life. Officers also confirmed there was an active order of protection in place, prohibiting Deyo from contacting the victim.
Deyo, 27, of Auburn, was arrested and charged with:
- Criminal Contempt in the First Degree (Felony)
- Menacing in the Second Degree (Misdemeanor)
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree (Misdemeanor)
- Harassment in the Second Degree (Violation)
She was taken to the Cayuga County Jail for arraignment. The Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office recommended that she be held on cash bail.
