A Bath man is facing a felony drug charge after police say he was found with methamphetamine during a parole check at a local motel.
Officers with the Village of Bath Police Department were called to the Budget Inn on September 25 just after 10:30 a.m. to assist New York State Parole. They were investigating a parolee suspected of drug possession.
Police say 26-year-old Shaun M. Haynes was taken into custody after officers confirmed he had methamphetamine. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, a Class C felony.
Haynes was processed and taken to the Steuben County Jail, where he is being held without bail pending arraignment.
