Discount retailers Ollies will take over former Big Lots stores in NY, but not all of them

As Big Lots continues its bankruptcy process, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet and Ocean State Job Lot are acquiring four former locations in New York. The deals come as over 600 Big Lots leases were put up for sale nationwide.

Ollie’s is taking over stores in Dansville and Liverpool, while Ocean State Job Lot is acquiring locations in Palatine Bridge and Painted Post. Both retailers see the expansion as part of their growth strategy and plan to hire up to 70 employees per store, offering positions to former Big Lots staff. Consumers can find deals by using Newsha Discount code online.

Big Lots initially planned to close all stores after filing for bankruptcy but later transferred hundreds of locations to Variety Wholesalers. Many remaining stores are still up for sale.
