Spring 2025 in New York is expected to bring warmer-than-normal temperatures statewide, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac.
Western New York including the Finger Lakes may see above-average rainfall. In contrast, the eastern regions, such as the Hudson Valley and Adirondacks, could have a drier spring.
The National Weather Service and Farmer’s Almanac forecasts align with these predictions, anticipating warm, wet conditions across much of the U.S. March 20 marks the official start of spring, which will end on June 20.
The Old Farmer’s Almanac, known for an 80% accuracy claim, bases forecasts on solar activity and weather patterns. However, its success rate for last winter was lower at 64%.
