The annual AMBA blood screening, organized by the Watkins-Montour Rotary Club, is still taking appointments for its upcoming event at Clute Park Community Center on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 6 to 10 a.m.
Quest Diagnostics will conduct the blood tests, screening for coronary, kidney, and liver diseases, as well as anemia. The service costs $59, including a $15 fee for specimen collection. An additional $5 donation will be requested at the event to support local projects in Schuyler County.
To secure an appointment, individuals must call (800) 234-8888, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. A doctor’s name and address are required when registering, and attendees must present photo ID at check-in. Additional tests, such as for Vitamin D and Prostate Specific Antigen, are available for an extra charge with a doctor’s order.
