Canandaigua woman arrested for felony assault after stabbing acquaintance: Victim airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital

A 66-year-old Canandaigua woman was arrested Tuesday after a stabbing incident at her Camelot Court apartment. Officers from the Canandaigua Police Department responded to the scene around 1:40 PM on Tuesday, following a report of an assault.


According to police, Collisteen Reaves is accused of stabbing a 60-year-old male acquaintance in the chest during his visit to her apartment. The attack caused the victim to suffer a collapsed lung. The man was able to escape to a neighboring apartment and was later airlifted by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital. Authorities report that the victim is expected to survive.

Reaves was arrested at the scene and charged with Assault in the First Degree. She is currently being held at the Ontario County Jail awaiting arraignment, and additional charges are pending.
