A two-car crash at a busy Tyre intersection sent one driver to the scene for treatment Friday afternoon, according to authorities.
The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded around 1:30 p.m. April 24 to State Route 414 near the New York State Thruway Exit 41 for a reported personal injury accident.
Investigators said Tracey Champagne, 32, of North Rose, was traveling southbound on Route 414 in a Nissan sedan when she struck a Ford Ranger that was stopped at a red light.
The driver of the pickup initially left the scene but was later identified as Arthur Washington, 50, of Rochester.
Champagne was treated at the scene by North Seneca Ambulance and declined further medical attention.
Deputies were assisted by North Seneca Ambulance and the Tyre Fire Department. The investigation remains ongoing.
