Mets shutout in second straight loss to Phillies

Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Aaron Nola threw a complete-game shutout as the New York Mets suffered a second straight loss, falling 4-0 on Tuesday afternoon at Citi Field.

New York (19-22) had just four hits on the day, three of which were singles. Jeff McNeil had the lone extra-base hit with a double.

Jose Buttó allowed just one hit over five innings but hit a batter with the bases loaded and walked in another. Yohan Ramírez, Jake Diekman, and Jorge López had scoreless outings before Sean Reid-Foley surrendered two in the ninth.
