The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office announced two felony arrests in connection with a burglary investigation in the town of Hopewell.
According to a news release, Colleen Hartman, 29, and Gordon Silva, 41, both of Hopewell were taken into custody for first-degree burglary after an investigation into an assault at the Finger Lakes Inn on County Road 10.
The two are accused of entering a residence illegally, then physically injury the person inside. The victim, described as a woman, suffered several lacerations and contusions to her face.
Both Hartman and Silva were taken into custody and transported to the Ontario County Jail.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
