Sabres skid hits seven with 4-1 loss to Senators

The Buffalo Sabres (7-10-0) could not find enough offense on Wednesday night as they dropped their seventh straight with a 4-1 loss to the Ottawa Senators (6-9-1) at Canadian Tire Centre.

Buffalo had eight power-play opportunities and only capitalized once. Tage Thompson scored the lone goal on a one-timer from the left circle in the second period. Rasmus Dahlin and Alex Tuch collected assists.

Eric Comrie turned aside 22-of-24 shots before leaving the game late in the second period with a lower-body injury. Craig Anderson replaced him between the pipes and stopped 14-of-15 shots.

The Sabres will get a couple of days off before they head to Toronto to take on the Maple Leafs on Saturday at 7 p.m.
