Occupants escape injury after Naples house fire

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office gave an update to a fire early-Friday morning in the town of Naples.

First responders from several districts were called to 8804 State Route 21 in Naples for a structure fire around 2 a.m.


The residents were inside the home when it first started, buta ll were able to exit without injury. A resident said she woke up to the smell of smoke while in her bedroom, and looked out her window and noticed flames coming from the porch below her bedroom window.

Part of Route 21 was shut down while first responders from Naples, Bristol, Richmond, Cohocton, and Atlanta were on-scene.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.
