Seneca Falls man steals dog after trespassing

Police say a Seneca Falls man was arrested following a trespass complaint.

According to a news release, the Seneca Falls Police Department charged Martin C. Ches, 66, of Seneca Falls with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, petit larceny, and trespass.

Following a trespassing complaint on Fall Street, it was determined that Ches had an active trespass notice that barred him from being on the property. While Ches was on the property, he stole a dog and operated a motor vehicle he was not allowed to be in possession of.

Ches is pending arraignment and will answer charges at a later date. Additionally, an order of protection was requested on behalf of the victim.
