On May 20 Seneca Falls police arrested Samantha A. Briggs, 20, on charges of Overdriving, Torturing and Injuring Animals; Failure to Provide Proper Sustenance, commonly known as “Animal Cruelty.”
The arrest followed a complaint about a German Shepherd puppy in poor health. Police investigation revealed that the puppy was extremely underweight and required immediate medical attention. The puppy was taken to a shelter for care.
Briggs was charged with animal cruelty and will appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court at a later date to answer the charges.
