The New York Yankees defeated the Detroit Tigers, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon at Yankee Stadium.
Luis Severino started on the mound for New York and tossed seven shutout innings while allowing just one hit and striking out 10. Michael King and Clay Holmes each tossed a scoreless inning in relief. Holmes has not allowed a run over the last 26 innings, which is the longest streak in Major League Baseball.
Aaron Judge and Anthony Rizzo homered, while Josh Donaldson drove in a run with a sacrifice fly.

The Yankees will go for the three-game sweep on Sunday with Jordan Montgomery on the bump. The first pitch is slated for 11:35 p.m.
