While 4 states plan to give Americans stimulus checks with their tax refunds, many others plan to do the same.
Americans have been calling on Congress to send a fourth stimulus check for some time now, especially to senior citizens.
The pandemic continues, and with that comes higher rates of inflation each month.
In December that rate reached 7%.
Many states are noticing they have higher tax revenues and are doing their residents the favor of spreading the wealth.

Getting a federal stimulus check
In some cases Americans may see additional government stimulus checks that they missed in 2021.
This is the case for anyone who financially qualifies and had a child or gained a dependent in 2021.
Many people also missed out because the IRS used old tax returns they may have been inaccurate.
To claim the money, just claim the Recovery Rebate Credit on your 2021 tax return in 2022.
Golden State Stimulus checks
In California many residents may be lucky enough to see a third stimulus check.
They previously received two checks worth up to $1,100 in 2021.
California has exceeded their Gann limit, which means taxpayers will see some of that money coming back to them.

Colorado
Residents will see a refund worth around $69 this year.
This is thanks to the Taxpayer Bill of Rights cap.
The excess tax revenue of $453.6 billion will result in taxpayers getting that money back.
Idaho
Full year residents in 2020 and 2021 were able to file for a grocery tax credit.
The minimum rebate will be $75 for each person, or 12% of their 2020 income taxes, whichever is more.
Hundreds of dollars have been returned to taxpayer’s pockets thanks to surplus funds.
Fourth Stimulus Check & Social Security recipients
Indiana
Indiana residents can expect a $125 tax refund.
This will be given with their 2021 tax refund.
Governor Eric Holcomb is working on other tax rate negations right now as well.
Oregon
Oregon has the kicker credit which goes into effect if tax revenue passes the projected amount by 2%.
The refunds will be worth up to $850, with the average being around $420.
Those who filed a 2020 return as well as their 2021 Oregon tax return may see the credit.
Florida and Georgia’s teachers
Teachers in Florida may see a $1,000 bonus this year.
Georgia’s teachers could see as much as $2,000.
