Shortsville man stole vehicle, credit cards from Waterloo

One person is in custody after a vehicle theft in Waterloo.

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on June 11 around 4 p.m. investigators arrested Anthony McGuigan, 20, of Shortsville for three counts of fourth-degree grand larceny of a credit card, and one count of fourth-degree grand larceny of a motor vehicle.

On June 9 around 3:30 p.m. McGuigan is accused of stealing a vehicle from a residence in Waterloo and driving it to Fredonia.

He was taken into custody by the Fredonia Police Department, who worked with the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office to return him and the vehicle.

Investigators say McGuigan was released and will answer the charges at a later date.
