Deputies: Sodus man yelled, made threats toward woman violating court order on her property

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Sodus man following an investigation into a harassment complaint. Deputies took Theodore C. McMinn Jr., 56, into custody for harassment and criminal contempt.

Authorities allege that McMinn stood on a neighboring property of a woman who has an active order of protection against him. McMinn is accused of yelling and making threatening statements towards the woman, thus violating the order by harassing her. He fled the scene before deputies arrived but was found and arrested several hours later.

McMinn was processed at the Sheriff’s Office and taken to Wayne County Jail for fingerprints and photographs. He was released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear at the Sodus Town Court on June 3, 2024.
