Authorities have identified the two drivers involved in a two-car accident Friday, but the man who caused the accident fled on foot and has not been located.
According to a news release, on Friday around 7:30 p.m., deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Boyce Road and Taylor Road in Canandaigua. The collision involved a 2008 Jeep Patriot, suspected to be driven by Sean Biery, 28, of Cohocton, and a 2001 Dodge Ram driven by Nathan Garrett, 38, of Shortsville.
Biery, traveling north on Pettit Road, allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with Garrett, who was heading west on Taylor Road. After the crash, Biery fled the scene on foot. Deputies and State Police searched for him but could not locate him.
Garrett sustained injuries and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital in stable condition. The Hopewell Fire Department and Canandaigua Emergency Squad assisted at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
