Man dies after lawn mower falls on him in Bloomfield

A man died after the lawn mower he was working on fell on him Saturday.

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a person trapped underneath the lawn mower.

William P. Brown, 76, was working underneath the mower deck when the lift system gave way, causing the zero-turn lawn mower to fall, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.
