State cracking down on fake IDs, underage drinking during summer concert season

Law enforcement agencies will be conducting sweeps at concert venues this summer to prevent underage drinking.

As part of Operation Prevent, DMV investigators, the State Liquor Authority, State Parks Police and other branches of law enforcement will be checking to make sure underage visitors aren’t drinking.

Additionally, SLA and DMV investigators will also be sweeping bars.

If an underage individual is caught using a fake ID to buy alcohol, they will be ticketed and could have their license revoked from anywhere between 90 days to a year.
