Three hurt after motorcycle crash in Ithaca

On Friday around 11:30 p.m., Ithaca emergency services responded to a motorcycle accident on Elmira Road. The Ithaca Police Department, Bangs Ambulance, and the Ithaca Fire Department found three injured people: the motorcycle operator, a passenger, and a pedestrian. All were taken to Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital.


The motorcycle operator is in critical but stable condition, while the passenger is stable. The pedestrian, however, remains in critical condition. The New York State Police are helping Ithaca police with the investigation, which caused the 300-400 block of Elmira Road to be closed for an extended period.

Authorities are not releasing more details at this time. Witnesses to the incident are asked to contact the Ithaca Police Department at 607-272-3245.
