Trial date set for Timothy Dean; accused of gunning down Sodus couple in October

On Thursday, Timothy Dean appeared in court.

He is among the three charged in connection with the violent double-shooting, which left a young Sodus couple dead in October.

Dean had previously served as chief of police in Sunray, Texas. He’s accused of planning the murder of Joshua Niles and Amanda Washburn, in coordination with his wife, and a third individual.

In Wayne County Court, Judge Daniel Barrett determined that the trial will begin on May 20. Pre-trial hearings also have been set for March 22nd.

Dean has been charged with first- and second-degree murder.
