A Waterloo woman was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and speeding after a traffic stop on Route 96, according to the Seneca County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies arrested the 46-year-old woman at about 12:20 a.m. Sunday in the town of Waterloo, the sheriff's office said in a release.
Deputies said they stopped the vehicle for speeding, noticed signs of impairment and administered field sobriety tests.
The driver, Veronica Smith, submitted to a chemical blood test under state vehicle and traffic law, the sheriff's office said.
She was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Waterloo Town Court on Oct. 21 to answer the charges.
