Auburn residents who live along Lake Avenue are being asked to keep vehicles off the street during a multiweek repaving project beginning Aug. 7, according to officials.
Northern Asphalt will repave Lake Avenue between Swift Street and the south city line through a three-phase project expected to conclude Aug. 27.
Residents are asked to remove vehicles from the street between 6:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. while crews mill the roadway, install asphalt and adjust catch basins and manholes.
The city plans to spend nearly $1 million on the Lake Avenue paving project as part of its 2026 road program.
The work follows recent paving on another section of Lake Avenue and coincides with the ongoing $9.5 million rehabilitation of the Lake Avenue bridge.
