The Hornell Burger King will close Saturday for a remodeling project expected to last about two months, according to the Hornell Tribune. The restaurant at 45 Main St. is scheduled to close at 4 p.m. July 18.
Burger King said the store is expected to reopen in September.
The remodel will bring the chain's newer design to the Hornell location, including digital ordering kiosks and an updated drive-thru.
Plans approved by the Hornell Planning Board also call for exterior updates, a new color scheme and new signage.
Officials said the work will not change the building's physical footprint.
